“THE SUPER BLOOM” (2020) is the Glow Up. Von Deon uses THE SUPER BLOOM as a metaphor based on a rare desert botanical phenomenon in which an unusually high proportion of wildflowers whose seeds have lain dormant in desert soil germinate and blossom at roughly the same time. The phenomenon is associated with an unusually wet rainy season.

Each painting in this series represents us as humans. If we choose to water the seeds of potential we hold, then our once dry and dormant lives become unrecognizable with the overwhelming growth from THE SUPER BLOOM.
